Wow how do I start this one.... Well it was an amazingly clear night with temperatures barely in the teens, I knew it would be an amazing chance to catch the Winter Milky Way in all it's glory. So I ventured out and I found a few spots to take in the scenes. Here is one...

This image consists of 33 single frames stitched together each a 25 second long exposure. I had to adjust the camera angle in between each shot meaning I couldn't just hang out in a warm vehicle. So for about 17 minutes I stood next to my tripod gazing at the amazing sky above me waiting for that next shutter click.

Location of this scene is just down the hill on Highway 46 at the Highway 81 intersection, looking across the Jim River Valley.
Yankton,SD shines bright on the left side with it's dome of light. Saturn sits just above along with many constellations that stretch across the sky. Can you recognize any of them?
